Maverick totally surprised me at his relaxed approach to the whole show, and this being his first time out. He recovered really well when startled by all the other dogs and people as it was a very busy show. he behaved well in the ring and though a little worried at first settled nicely. For a pup of 5 months old he did really well. He handled the big ring for the baby final really well and I could not have been more proud of him, he is a real credit to his owners who have been working really hard with him getting him ready for me to show.

Apollo’s lack of bone is now starting to become an issue in showing, this is a shame as she is structurally sound and in nice proportion. But the breed is a moderate bone breed and she lacks in this. I will finish the season with Apollo but i will look to concentrate more on her heal work to music.

Boomer performed as he always has; he comes alive in the show ring and really looked and moved well. Both judges commented on his charisma and his lovely face. We were disadvantaged on the second day as the judge preferred smaller dogs. goes to show how you can be on the top one day and the bottom the next! Such is the unpredictability of showing.

Nova was a star as ever she is very sweet in the ring with a soft nature, this was her first time out showing since July 2017 and since having her puppies. i was very pleased with her results as she is out of coat and could have done with a little more condition. I have great hopes for the rest of the season!
