The Paris Dog Show 2017

Showing

Sadly due to my long term illness we did not do any showing after April 16, i was devastated that we missed out on a whole season of showing after starting so well. However we returned in January 2017 for the two day National and International Paris Dog Show. As Nova had come into season we only took Dunnellons Boomerang ‘Boomer’ and Ironpaws Iron Lady ‘Apollo’ along with Boomers daughter from a previous litter Greggles Cherokee Warrior of Iron.

Apollo totally surprised me at her relaxed approach to the whole show, and this being her first time out. She recovered really well when startled by all the other dogs and people as it was a very busy show. She behaved well in the ring and though a little worried at first settled nicely. For a pup of 4 and a half months old she did really well. She handled the big ring for the baby final really well and i could not have been more proud of her. On the second day she was beaten by a very nice boy with lots of bone. You never mind being beaten by a better dog and i’m just so pleased she coped so well with it all.

Boomer performed as he always has; he comes alive in the show ring and really looked and moved well. This was his first time out this year and in spite of having a year off he performed really well on both days. Both judges commented on his charisma and his lovely face. The dog that won first place on both days was a very nice dog and I was pleased to be placed where we were, I was out of practice and both days and I feel i could have worked the dogs better. We were showing at the end of the day which meant both myself and the dogs were tired!

Boomers daughter Cherry also did very well with the following results her owner was delighted as this was Cherrys first time out at just under 12 months.
